I doubt I’ll ever see one in person. Sad.

Maybe Leno will buy one, and hopefully his collection will be turned into a huge museum at some point.

Here’s hoping.

Lots of fun contrast against the F1. Infotainment off your phone is certainly a welcome change over a 10 disc cd changer.

This is what he wanted to build back then, so this is really the McLaren F1 he had in mind but couldn’t do it before. I wonder if Jay has one reserved.

I’m listening to Harry Metcalfe’s conversation with him right now.

I listened to it, absolutely heart warming! I need to listen to all the other ones now.

You can just tell these are two guys that
get it.
So fun to hear Gordon explaining every little technical/engineering/design
detail. You can just hear the pride in his voice. His life’s work.

It’s extremely technically impressive. It’s also tiny, about the same footprint as a 2 door Jeep but much, much shorter.
Most likely they are sold out already. This will only encourage other manufacturers to build their own version, which is a good thing.

“ the majority of the total 100 were sold before the car existed in anything other than sketch form ”

I don’t know if other makers will even try to do anything close to matching this, likely because they just can’t (or don’t have the will).
Takes a singularly focused individual to deliver a product like this.
It’s mechanical art.

I’d love to be that rich. Everyone knows they will appreciate like crazy.

Everybody has a different definition of success, that right there is definitely a life goal though. All of the press and interviews are being done not because they need to be done to sell stuff , but rather as a celebration of what was achieved in building something special .
I hope others follow with the same philosophy
. Preferably with something that is a smidgen more affordable.

Unfortunately, (near) perfection is very expensive.
I’m hopeful that the Lotus superdupercar sells out and clears the path for a new Elise/Exige here in the States.
I might have to own
a Caterham or Ariel
some day...

Just quietly. I’m sick of the “end of an era” thing. People have been saying it for a decade. Remember when the V12 Vantage was the last analog supercar?
Yes yes things are changing. But not every car can be the last one.

Haha - point taken.
When the next NA V-12 manual drops, you can call me on it. =)

Not sure why more isn’t made of the gull-wing engine and storage lids.
